my Christmas vacation

the moment NetXen was acquired by Qlogic.. evrybdy were dreaming of the shutdown holidays @ year ending!
MANY plans were whirling in my mind too, but there were MANY do's n dont's from parents :(

one week back of the holiday i was still confused with my timings n plans[as usual :D]

friday eve the 6'O clock ticked n I jumped out of the office with the feel of heaven.
Came home [au.bad] with little hopes abt the plan execution.
called some friend but they were busy

Sunday evening one of my little 10th std friend Shubham called n asked.."ताई तू उद्या शाळेत येशील ना ?"

n there u go...

10.15 monday morning 'Ak.Ru.Waghmare school, Sambhajinagar'

Talked with Sanskrit teacher Saraf Mam about the mobile library concept n she approved it so.

We visited one division from each of the std8,9,10th n started the mobile library concept with 3 books(written by Pravin DavaNe , Kiran Bedi) + 1 chatra prabodhan magazine.

These 3 books to be circulated in the class with a monitor who will keep the track of the details.

if this works fruitful.. many more plans upcoming...

still had more time to explore... n went to take some updates from Medha tai @ Hedgewar Rugnalaya, Sambhajinagar.

Here many activities related to Health - Education - Employment for villagers are being executed.

One of the activity 'Patient Assistance Coarse' was sponsored by Johnson and Johnson Ltd.

dropouts after 10 -12 std are being trained to work in Hospital as a ward boy/girl and can even look for some more training further.

i had 3 days with me to spend 2-3 hrs per day with these students... there were 35 students.

One day focus was about explaining whats the computer ..?? the minimum daily usage in hospital??? some practicals related to the same.

Next day we all visited the surgical suture company at Waluj with Phatak mam.The sales manager and the production head explained the suture manufacturing process with the high level preventive and standardized hygienic methodologies.This visit had a great impact on students to follow the standardized hygienic practices while working in the hospital

The third day... we played different games.

The purpose behind the games was

- to explore how much information students have about medical and hospital

- through which they express themselves in detail

- communication skills while interacting with disturbed patients, attending phone calls and many more

in all a small attempt to increase their confidence level to while working passionately in an professional world with the tinge of care and empathy towards society ..

for me this vacation was one of the worth ... hoping to spend upcoming vacation for those who really need :)
